Anyone out there doing this?  I would like to hear your method and comments.

Its time for a new car.

I consider a car to be a bike accessory - I use it to take my bike places to far to ride. Hence my classification of this post.

I currently have a ‘98 Subaru Legacy Station, which offers many options for bike carrying.

Inside, on the top, or with a hitch mounted rear rack.

I’d like to get a hybrid, but haven’t found one with those kind of options.

Prii can accept a small tow hitch that will work for bike racks (both older and newer generation models).

I Googled these:

buckwad;

Thanks for these links. It was just what I was looking for. Do you have one of these? Can the installation really be as easy as they say?

I have a 2001 Prius, but not a towing hitch (no bike rack at all yet).  You could try asking on the Yahoo Group for Prius Owners, that’s where I originally heard about it a couple of years ago.  If your’re a fairly accomplished DIY-er it should work out.  I also remember hearing something about U-HAUL being able to install these on cars for you?
