At the January Awards Banquet, we will be collecting non-pershable food, gently used coats, and monetary donations for SnowCap.

Awards Banquet: Sunday, January 27, Monarch Hotel in Clackamas, Oregon.

The holidays may be over but winter is not. For many families the struggle to keep food on the table doesn't end with the holidays. If you missed being able to contribute at our December food drive, we will also have collection boxes available at this month's Awards Banquet. We hope you'll bring an item of non-perishable food or a warm coat to be donated to the SnowCAP organization when you attend. Families are in need of these types of Items:

FOOD: Non-perishable items, please. In particular tuna, canned meats, soups, chili, peanut butter, canned fruits and vegetables, and baby formula. Packaged popcorn and individually wrapped healthy snack bars are still favorites of the kids. Last year we collected 118 pounds of food. Can we beat it this year?

COATS: Clean, gently used coats of any size. Last year we collected 14 pounds of warm clothing. Does your closet hold a few items that haven't seen the light of day lately? Maybe it's time to give them a second life.

MONETARY GIFT: Cash or checks made out to SnowCAP. There will be a collection jar available at the Banquet. What ever is collected from members will be dropped off along with the food and clothing at SnowCAP.

These are three great ways to start the New Year by showing you care about your community. Who knows, a future world cycling champion might just be at one of those dinner tables! Thanks for giving.
